Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Nutrister ("we", "us") collects when you visit nutrister.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@nutrister.com.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page and time of the request.
- Analytics and advertising data. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled (described below), they may collect information about how you reach and use the site through cookies or similar technologies.
We don't ask you to create an account, we don't sell products directly, and we don't collect payment details.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools to understand which pages are read and how visitors find the site, so we can improve our guides. These tools may record pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser information, and referring site. We use analytics data in aggregate and don't use it to identify you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Nutrister itself uses only a browser storage entry that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice. Analytics providers, advertising platforms and affiliate partners may set their own cookies when their tags are enabled or when you click an affiliate link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising conversion tracking
We may advertise Nutrister pages through Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. When you arrive from one of those ads, the platform may add a click identifier to the page address (for example a Google click ID or Microsoft click ID), and their conversion tags may set cookies to record whether that visit led to a conversion, such as a click to an offer or a sign-up on a partner's site. This helps us measure which ads are useful and stop the ones that aren't.
Google and Microsoft process this data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
- Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can manage ad personalization in Microsoft ad settings.
You can also opt out of interest-based advertising from many companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance or, in Europe, Your Online Choices.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party offers. When you click one, the affiliate network or the merchant may set cookies or record a click identifier so the sale or sign-up can be credited to Nutrister. We may receive reports showing that a click or conversion happened, but we don't receive your name, payment details or anything you enter on the merchant's site. Once you leave Nutrister, the other site's privacy policy applies. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To measure the performance of our content, ads and affiliate links.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We don't sell your personal information for money. Where advertising or conversion tracking counts as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under privacy laws, you can opt out using the controls above or by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area, the UK, California and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Email hello@nutrister.com to make a request; we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. Where consent is required for cookies, we rely on your consent; otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.
Data retention
We keep emails for as long as needed to handle your message and for reasonable record-keeping. Analytics and advertising data are kept for the periods set by those providers' settings.
Children
Nutrister is written for adults and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party sites
Our guides link to government health sources and other sites. We aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
