About Nutrister
Nutrister is an independent nutrition guide. Our goal is simple: practical, no-hype guides to eating well on a busy schedule.
Who runs it
Nutrister is built and run by an independent publisher who builds and runs content websites. It is a small, one-person operation, not a clinic, a food company, or a government agency. Guides are published under the byline Nutrister Editorial.
We are not doctors or registered dietitians, and we don't give personal medical advice. When a topic depends on your health, we say so and suggest checking with your doctor or a registered dietitian.
How the guides are researched
- Every guide starts from public guidance published by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and other USDA agencies, the CDC, the NIH, the FDA and the NHS.
- Facts are linked to the source page where they appear, and every guide ends with a list of its sources.
- We don't invent statistics, publish fake reviews or testimonials, or promise cures or weight loss.
How guides are kept up to date
Each guide shows the date it was published and last updated. We review every guide at least once a year and sooner when the underlying guidance changes, for example a new edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans or a change to the Nutrition Facts label. Our editorial policy explains the full process.
How Nutrister is funded
Some pages contain affiliate links, and the site may show ads. If you buy through an affiliate link we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. That money keeps the site running; it doesn't decide what a guide recommends. See our affiliate disclosure.
